Melcom Ghana donates to media associations

Melcom Care Foundation, the corporate social responsibility
arm of the Melcom Group of Companies has donated selected electronic items and
office equipment to some media associations in the country towards their awards
ceremony.
The media associations include; Institute of Financial and
Economic Journalists (IFEJ), Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) and Ghana News
Agency.
The items donated by Melcom included digital flat screen
television sets, DVD players, printers, office chairs among others.
Melcom is committed to improving quality service through the
implementation of environmental friendly business standards including safety
procedures at the workplace, training of staff and provision of incentives to
boost the morale of its workers, Mr Godwin Avenorgbo, Director of Communication
at Melcom said.
“We are grateful for the support Ghanaians have given us
from all fronts and in all sectors of our business and we pledge to continue to
improve on our services to make shopping a pleasurable experience at all Melcom
shops nationwide”, he added.
He believes that, a vibrant media creates awareness,
professional media practice ensures good governance and in consequence business
growth and investor confidence.
